Role Summary:

This is a varied role and no two days are the same! One moment you will be supporting the sales team, next working on webinars and podcasts and various tasks in between.

The Right Candidate:

We are looking for an exceptionally organised Business Support Administrator, who has previous experience in supporting a business, possibly with direct experience in marketing and supporting a sales team. A self-starter who is happy to hit the ground running and assist where needed across the business. A polite, positive and naturally inquisitive individual who is exceptionally keen to learn and understand the business, their aims, their ethos and ultimately be engaged in the overall aim of the business.

Business Support Administrator

The successful candidate will work closely with, and report to the Vice President.

You will: 

  • Assist with the organisation, planning, execution and follow-up of webinars and podcasts
  • Support in preparation, issuing and upload of client briefings (in print and online)
  • The ability to be able to assist our Research Analyst Team by uploading their analysis to our online Intelligence Platform
  • Support Client relations, including but not limited to: organising client calls, organising platform orientations, setting up new users across all platforms, monitoring and tracking client engagement and directing inbound client queries to our analyst team
  • Assist with sales support including sourcing leads, populating our CRM system, tracking leads
  • Keep our websites up to date, BlueTech Research and BlueTech Forum
  • Responsible for our Knowledge Management process, with weekly curation of news and updates across the water sector and circulation of this information to the team
  • Responsible for administrative aspects of the annual BlueTech Forum event

Requirements:

  • Fluent spoken and written English.  German and Japanese an advantage
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise and perform a variety of tasks with little supervision and a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Competent with on-line meeting Video Conferencing and Work Collaboration tools and software including Outlook Calendar, Calendly, Doodle, MS Teams and Zoom.

 Location:

The role will be remote, with an ability to work in the Central European / UK / EST or PST time zone, as desired.

About BlueTech Research:

BlueTech Research is a leading water technology market research firm serving Bluechip clients globally.

Role Summary:

We are looking for someone to support key business development strategies by managing various internal and external events. This role includes managing our annual in person BlueTech Forum (www.bluetechforum.com), our regular Virtual Roundtables with external clients and potential and the WEFTEC Innovation Pavilion. Each of these events demonstrate BlueTech’s leadership not only in our research capabilities but also in our unique position to create community within the water sector and nurture collaborations that might not otherwise occur. The role will be remote, but ideal time-zone are EST to CET.

These events will have you working with global corporations who are working to optimize their water usage. Building relationships with key individuals within these companies will be important we each event requires co-creations with many stakholders, sponsors, delegates, thought leaders, keynote speakers and so on.. The Right Candidate:

We are looking for someone who has worked in Events previously and is not daunted by organising complex events for over 250 people. You will need to enjoy juggling several tasks at once and be able to demonstrate an ability to meet and exceed deadlines. You will be very adept at fast follow-ups, an essential part of our company culture. A self-starter who is happy to hit the ground running and assist where needed across the business. A polite, positive and naturally inquisitive individual who is exceptionally keen to learn and understand the business, their aims, their ethos and ultimately be engaged in the overall aim of the business.

  • Proven previous event management experience

The Role
BlueTech Research is seeking a passionate and energetic Business Development Manager who wants to be part of a dynamic company, leading the sector in analyzing water innovation.

Nature of the Role

The primary responsibility of the position is to design and implement sales initiatives that will allow us to secure new clients. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building, managing and maintenance of the sales process. This position is core to our global sales team, with particular emphasis on inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting/qualification/sales for potential members of our Water Intelligence Service.

Excellent telephone/video conference call and communications skills are critical for success in this role. This is a full-time position with a base salary and a commission plan that rewards “closers” – It’s an extraordinary opportunity for the truly talented.

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute and coordinate all membership subscription business development activities for the team
  • Source new prospects via e-mail direct marketing campaigns, conferences, networking events, industry groups, etc.
  • Convert leads to sales through exploratory calls and online demonstrations with qualified prospects that have shown active interest in our products and services
  • Qualify opportunities involving key decision makers
  • Collaborate with various departments to determine necessary sales strategies and tactics
  • Make outbound follow up calls to potential customers via telephone and email, and overcome objections of prospective customers
  • Emphasize product/service features and benefits (online demonstrations), quote prices, discuss payment terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports
  • Manage and achieve sales forecast and achieve targets
  • Develop and maintain sales and marketing materials

Knowledge/Experience

  • Knowledge, passion or understanding of the water industry is an advantage. The key to success in this position relies on your hunger for both product and industry knowledge
  • 3-5 years successful direct work experience in a business development capacity in the private sector (Experience in SaaS sales, or membership/insight service sales would be an advantage)
  • Demonstrable results in managing the business development process from identifying, qualifying and tracking leads to closing sales
  • Proven track record in developing successful demand generation initiatives including setting up nurturing campaigns, configuring and utilizing sales & marketing automation software
  • Excellent time management & attention to detail
  • EXTREMELY adept lead follow-up and organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create something from the ground up
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make proactive telephone calls to prospective clients

Executive Assistant

Executive Assistant to the CEO of BlueTech Research, a leading water technology market intelligence firm. The successful candidate will directly support the CEO in his role managing the company.

This is an ideal opportunity for a new graduate seeking to gain international experience and advance their career, or a seasoned administrative professional seeking a new challenge in a dynamic environment.

The role will involve liaising with multi-national corporations, investors, NGO’s and research institutes. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the CEO’s calendar, agenda and general organisational tasks.

You will be:

  • Handling complex diary and calendar management for the CEO with internal and external meeting participants across multiple international time-zones.
    Coordinating both personal and work related travel and accommodation arrangements for the CEO, providing them with an itinerary in advance of travel.
  • Ensuring availability of key personnel for any scheduled meetings, preparing agendas in advance of all meetings, sharing pre-read materials, taking high quality minutes of meetings and actioning any follow up items.
  • Assisting with the preparation of power-point presentations, proposals and other business correspondence
  • Helping arrange team activities, staff training and recognition initiatives for team members on an ongoing regular basis.
  • Maintaining confidentiality on business sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Undertaking personal life administrative tasks when required to support the CEO
  • Managing HR admin functions such as holiday requests, staff reviews etc.
  • Desk research for reports, editing of speeches, emails and letters.
  • Ensuring call answering systems are professional and managing updates to company website.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-4 years’ relevant applicable experience and an undergraduate university of college degree qualification.
