What is it?

Aquaporin has developed a range of biomimetic membranes that incorporate aquaporin proteins, which are proteins found in the membranes of biological cells, to enable enhanced filtration performance. The aquaporins are formulated into a biomimetic polymer and embedded onto the surface of an immobilization matrix. The company offers flat sheet and hollow-fiber composite membranes for nanofiltration (NF), reverse osmosis (RO), and forward osmosis (FO).
