Ultramax EWP (Electronic Water Purifier)What is it?
EWP is a capacitive deionization system designed specifically for the treatment of produced water. Electrodes, primarily made from activated carbon, are layered into a cell casing. A DC power supply is applied across the electrodes. The resulting polarities on the electrodes attract ions in the water which have the opposite charge. These ions are electrochemically absorbed on the surface of the electrode. When the electrodes become saturated the polarization of the electrodes can be reversed causing all the ions to concentrate between the two membranes. BlueTech assumes that Aqua EWP has been non-operational since 2018.Website
